Burning Instructions

By taking care of your hand carved candle as a work of art it will last you a lifetime.
You can add two to three drops of scented oil to your candle before lighting to give it the aroma you wish.

1. Make sure the wick is trimmed to 1/4" (one- quarter of an inch). Trimming the wick too short will cause wick to drown. Having a long wick will cause the candle to burn uneven which will eventually cause the carved outside to melt.

2. Keep candle out of drafts such as an open window or fan.

3. After lighting your candle watch the prepunched hole in the top of the candle. When the hole becomes liquid blow the candle out. The approximate burning time of first lighting is 15 minutes to 30 minutes.

4. Let the candle cool for approximately 10 minutes or until the wax is solid.

5. By repeating steps 1 thru 4 a well will form inside the candle. When the well has formed to a depth of one- third of the candle you can insert a tealight or taper candle into the well. Make sure the wick of the tealight or taper is trimmed to 1/4" (one- quarter of an inch).
